What does Olaplex No.0 do?
The Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment is an at-home treatment that acts as the first step on your Olaplex journey, priming your hair to absorb nourishment for maximum repair. Using with the highest dose of Olaplex technology in a take-home product so far, the No.0 Intense Bond Building Hair Treatment will rebuild broken bonds caused by colour, chemical and mechanical damage while strengthening and protecting your hair’s integrity. Scientifically proven to give you 68% more repair & 3x stronger hair (*when used as a two-part system with the No.3 in just one use), a bottle of No.0 should last 3-6 applications depending on hair length and density.
How often should I use Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment?
You should use the two-part system, of Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment and Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector on average once or twice a week. If your hair is severely damaged, we recommend using it three times a week. Using this treatment will help to rebuild the broken bonds in your hair and leave it feeling silky smooth between your salon appointments.
How do I apply Olaplex No.0 on my hair?
You should always apply Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment on dry hair. When it comes to how much to use, it’s good to lightly saturate each section of dry hair for the best results. This product is for all hair types, especially those with visible damage. Take a look at the video below to see how the process can work for you.
- Apply the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment slowly to dry hair, distributing evenly from root to tip.
- Apply the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment to small sections by squeezing the liquid into the hair to be absorbed.
- Lightly saturate. Your hair should be damp but not drenched. Let this process for 10 minutes and do not rinse.
- Apply the No.3 Hair Perfector (read on to find out more!) over the hair with the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment still in your hair. Comb this through and leave it to process for another 10 minutes.
- Rinse, shampoo and condition your hair. For even softer results, use the No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Building Conditioner for this step.

How to Use Olaplex At Home
1. After your hairdresser uses the Olaplex No.1 Bond Multiplier and Olaplex No.2 Bonding Perfector, you can start your at-home Olaplex routine by fully saturating your hair with the No.0 Bond Building Treatment. Wait for 10 minutes and do not rinse out.
2. Apply the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector from roots to ends. Depending on how damaged your hair is, we recommended leaving it in for 10-30 minutes. However, some leave it in for longer ranging from a few hours to overnight if hair is severely damaged. If you decide to do this, we recommend wrapping your hair up in a towel or shower cap to prevent the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector touching your face or eyes.
3. After rinsing out the Olaplex No.0 Bond Building Treatment and No.3 Hair Perfector from your hair, wash with either the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo, the Olaplex No.4C Clarifying Shampoo or the Olaplex No.4P Blonde Enhancer Toning Shampoo. Follow with the Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner to repair and hydrate all hair types, and remember to use the NEW Olaplex No.4D Dry Shampoo between washes.
4. Apply the Olaplex No.8 Intense Moisture Mask on damp hair from mid-lengths to ends, massaging it in and then combing it with your fingers. If you have shoulder length hair, use 2 pumps. If your hair is longer or thicker, apply more; and less for fine or short hair. Leave in your hair for ten minutes and rinse out thoroughly.
5. Apply the Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother in your hair, a leave-in conditioner that will leave your hair smooth and silky while reducing frizz and flyaways.
6. Finish off your Olaplex routine with the Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil for extra shine and heat protection.
