Application guide for hairstylists:

Always wear gloves when applying Nioxin Purifying Exfoliator professional treatment to a client's hair.

Apply to dry scalp and hair in a grid pattern. Vertical: Place the applicator tip near the scalp at the center front of the client's hairline. Apply product to scalp from front hairline to back hairline. Working in vertical sections no more than 1"" (2.5 cm) apart, apply to entire scalp. Horizontal: Apply product from ear to ear, over the top of the client's head. Working in horizontal sections no more than 1"" (2.5 cm) apart, apply to entire scalp. Apply product to entire hairline.

Take care to keep product out of client's eyes. Massage the scalp gently for 5-6 minutes using the Circle-in-Circle massage technique. The massage will help to process the removal of residues, as well as distribute the product throughout the scalp. No heat required. After processing, allow for a 3-minute pause, then rinse product from client’s scalp and hair with warm water, while gently working the treatment out of the scalp and hair.

Tips for application on clients with medium to long hair: For ease of control, section the hair into 4 quadrants: 2 front and 2 back. Create the grid of product on the scalp in each quadrant. Complete 1 quadrant before moving to the next. When giving the massage, make sure your hands are under the hair and on the scalp; massaging the scalp skin is the goal.
