Unpack the styler and cable from the storage bag and ensure that the cable is fully unravelled. Using the correct plug for the socket, plug into the socket and switch on at the socket. Press and hold the standby button and the styler will default to 180. Slide your finger up and down the temperature lights to select a high or lower temperature. The light will flash until the selected temperature is reached. Take a section of hair smaller than the width of the plate and drop onto the plated area, starting at the roots.

Close the styler around the hair and pull down through the hair past the tips. This should take a few seconds. If you have to repeat then the styler has been pulled too quickly. Repeat on every section of hair starting at the bottom of the head, working to the crown. The process for curling is similar but when the hair section is placed on the plates and closed, the styler should be turned over 180 degrees so the hair wraps around the styler body as it is pulled through the hair.
