Where it all started
1964 - Sally Beauty Supply opens as a standalone store in New Orleans, and so our adventure begins.
1987 - Time for ‘Sally’ to conquer the UK & Ireland and in the process we opened our 500th store worldwide.

2007 – We acquired Salon Services; a UK business with a strong European presence that allowed us to reach more people and go BIG!
2007 - Sally acquires Beauty Express, a top supplier to the beauty and spa industry which was what we needed to connect with more beauty specific customers than ever before.
2013 – London calling! We opened our three-story UK flagship store on London’s Oxford Street. Today we have multiple stores in every major city in the UK and ROI and pride ourselves on making sure we’re wherever our customers need us.

2017 – We hit the 5,000 store milestone and we’ve added more since. We believe in the power of our stores because it’s where our passion comes to life through our people and our breadth of range is unmatched. 2018 - Beauty Express and Salon Services merge together to become one destination for all of your Beauty and Hair needs.

Anyone working in the professional hair and beauty industry, as business owner or employee, can apply for a Salon Services trade card. Your trade card gives you access to trade only products, trade prices and exclusive brands so that you can stock up on professional essentials and everything you need for your career and business big or small.

If you’re studying, an apprentice or taking a course you can sign up for a Student Trade Card and shop as a professional whilst you’re on your journey. Not only can you shop with your professional student trade card, you will also get access to our exclusive student offers, Industry news and updates.

Yes! Our Sally Beauty stores and website are open to anyone and everyone is welcome. We invite you all to join us, become Sally Beauty Rewards members and unlock the very best of hair and beauty. Almost all of our stores, both Sally Beauty and Salon Services are open to everyone, despite Salon Services being our Trade brand. The only difference is that trade customers use their Trade Card to access exclusive benefits. There are a few exceptions so check your local store on our store finder. In store you will find that selected products and brands are trade only, but your store team can advise you on great alternatives from our selection of hundreds of brands and you might just discover your newest must-have product. If you're a Sally Beauty Rewards member you'll get additional exclusive benefits like vouchers when you shop, saving you money on anything from big purchases to hair and beauty top-ups. We also make it easy to get your new favourites in no time with our Click & Collect service. Simply buy online at Sally Beauty and collect from your most convenient Sally Beauty Store or selected Salon Services stores.
You don’t need a special card to shop at Sally Beauty, we’re open to everyone, but we do have a Sally’s Rewards Card that offers you the chance to receive exclusive discounts. Simply sign-up here or ask our friendly in-store staff to get yours. You only need a Trade Card to shop on our trade site Salon Services.
