First things first, before attempting any nail art it is important to get your nails in good shape with our getting started essentials. - Trim your nails to the desired length. Try and keep them as even as possible and try to keep them as long as possible for the best results.
- Shape your nails using a file to the desired shape keeping the nails as even as possible.
- Soak your cuticles - dip your hands into a bowl of warm water and let them soak for a couple of minutes. Once softened use a cuticle pusher to gently push the cuticles back.
- Buff and prepare your nails for polish. If you have some cuticle oil you can massage it into your nail beds.
- Paint on your base coat- we would advise a matte neutral shade to allow the tips to pop.
- Once the base coat has dried place the nail tips at the desired position on your nail. Pick your colour polish for the tip and paint the tips.
- Let the tips dry and finish with a top coat.

- Apply a base coat
- Apply as many coats as required of your chosen base colour
- Choose a complimentary colour for the print and use a brush or dotting tool to roughly dot onto the nail.
- Using a black nail polish and a dotting tool/brush add rough outlines to your print.
- Once the print is dry apply a top coat to keep it in place.

- Apply a base coat
- Apply as many coats as required of your chosen base colour
- Select your colours for your flower print. The easiest way of painting a simple flower is using the 5 dot technique using a dotting tool or thin brush (or even a bobby pin you have lying around) by painting 5 dots in a rough flower shape with a different colour dot as the middle.
- Use your dotting tool/brush to complete your design and apply a top coat to finish.
